December 12th to February 18th

Romance doesn’t die in the winter time. Korea’s island of romance, Nami Island, is where the Korean Wave began with the Korean drama Winter Sonata. It’s where the main characters enjoyed a first kiss in the snow, and it’s why this winter festival has become a place for love birds to enjoy the purity of love in the pure white snow that falls in Gapyeong. Aside from all the corniness, there’s plenty of activities to enjoy such as snow sledding, mini curling, ice sculpting, a snowman photo zone and an ice village to visit. But seriously. Even if you’re not here for all the festivities, come here to enjoy the island and it’s natural romantic charm. It’s one of the most romantic places in Korea, especially in the winter.
