Questions include: “How do I attract Korean girls?” “What’s it like to be a kpop trainee?” “What’s it like being a blonde Korean in Korea?”ย “Why police aren’t that respected in Korea?” “What’s it like to work in a Korean company?” and “What do you appreciate about living in Korea?”
Hey! We’re going to take YouTube more seriously, ok? We’re aiming to do 2 videos a week! So help us keep our videos going by watching the video and leaving your questions for us! ๐
Keith asks:ย “What’s it like being a blonde Korean in Korea?”
Of course, being a (super-dyed) blonde Korean isn’t very common. So there’s definitely a lot of stares. There’s definitely going to be some judgmental looks (haters!), but you’ll also get a lot of just surprised comments too. But one thing’s for sure, it’s super unique so there’s definitely going to be a lot of looks!
Joanna Tang asks: “What’s it like to be a kpop trainee?”
Kpop grows its talent (trainees) like its a well trained army. That’s for the dancing, singing, English-speaking international kpop groups of course. They have full schedules filled to the brim to mold “good enough” talent into the best in the world. And when they’re ready to hit the market, they work what they learned to try to be the next YouTube Music Awards winner. But for non-idol groups, it’s not so rigid, and it’s more focused on the music, too. So it definitely depends on the company and genre.
Jermaine Smit asks: “What’s it like to work in a Korean company? Why do they work unpaid overtime?”
Old school Korean companies are pretty hardcore about the amount of hours workers put in. And that leads us to mention the unwritten rule that workers have to stay in office until the boss leaves. Unless you want to look like a slacker, you’re probably going to have to stay, even after you’ve finished all your work. And that means you’re going to have to kill time with lots of alt-tabbing.
Javkhlantugs Buteelch asks: “How do I attract Korean girls?” and Alan Plou replied “Be tall and have money”
Stereotype! But stereotypes like this are around for a reason. They’re kinda true! Of course, money is something envied in most places in the world. But being tall in Korea is something lots of Korean women look for in a man. Some Korean guys even cheat by using shoe lifts Maybe it’s because of their heels. But don’t worry. There’s plenty of short ย Korean girls for guys with height complexes that don’t want to look up to their girls.
Anna Tran asks: “Why are traffic laws in Korea not strictly enforced?”
Koreans say that the police have no power in Korea. Back in Korea’s colonial era, the police worked with the Japanese colonizers. And that’s left a lack of respect for the folks who helped the bad guys. And that’s why the Korean police do not cause too much trouble to Korean citizens if they’re not hurting anyone. Minor traffic violation? No one hurt? Let’s get some ramyun.
Well, that’s it for this week’s Q&A! Remember to subscribe to us on YouTube, like us Faceook and follow us on Twitter! And leave your questions cause sometimes we run out of stuff to talk about, ok?? ๐

What’s it like being fat in Korea? What do Koreans consider overweight?
LOL Keith, my response was half a joke, meant to be as reductive as I thought the question was. Looking like a total douchebag now ah ah
Keith, Keith, Keith….!!!! You were so close to a deep discussion on the police force in Korea, and how people don’t respect the police because of its origin from Japanese colonial days. Please explain more in depth.
Why there are so many kdramas with poor girls, and very reach or bad guys in the opposite lead role, and not vice-versa? As I saw with other things I’ve seen in kdramas, like arranged dates, karaoke, part-time jobs etc, I kind of think this is related to your culture too.
It’s me again! Umm, you talked about the LTE in Korea, which is the fastest internet connection in the world. I am from Romania, and is a HUUUGE gap of culture, and industry, and technology between these two, but I recently found out that my country has the second fast internet connection in the world, after Korea. Of course, there is a huge difference, we have “only” 15 Mbit per second, but…we are the second. Here:

Shoelifts! lol! And Keith, since we’re kind of on the subject of male vanity… I think a post regarding men and make and make-up is in order. I am not too sure if it has been done by you yet but I could be wrong
And just a couple of things about attracting girls. I’m not Korean but I think I speak for most girls when I say…
Does not wear man-heels… Sorry. Shoelifts.
Must wear a lot less make-up than I do, preferably none. Unless he’s a TV personality then he will need make-up.
Is the girl Song-a? If yes, then WOW! Looks mega beautiful with blonde hair. And please try grey/white!
I have a question ๐ recently we celebrated my Korean language teacher’s bday. We took a few pictures but she said to take off the flash, that Koreans don’t take pictures with flash. She really didn’t explain why, anyone know whats up with that?
Thanks ๐
