About PlayStation Rooms

Playstation rooms aka peulseubang (플스방) are places for young people who can’t afford gaming consoles or who want to escape from the watchful eyes of their parents. Friends gather to play games in front of large screens and comfortable couches to scream and talk trash as loud as they want with each goal. Interestingly, nearly 90% of the gaming done in playstation rooms is for soccer games although they do have a wide selection of other games that can be played.

Note: Korea is nearly all team Playstation. While many places offer Wii, it’s near impossible to find places with Xbox. Sorry Halo nerds!

About Champs Playstation Room

Champs Playstation Room is one of the better Playstation rooms in Seoul because of its cleanliness. While most playstation rooms are thrown together quite quickly, Champs is kept quite clean because of the more than usual female customers that come on dates (you know guys don’t care!). They also offer free snacks to munch on as well as cup noodles and other beverages that can be bought cheaply.
