December 8th to March 25th

One of the great things of getting less sunlight in the winter is you’ll get to enjoy the winter wonderland Lighting Festival at the Garden of Morning Calm in Gapyeong. The Garden was founded by Professor Sang-kyung Han, a professor of Horticulture, who wanted to create a beautiful, world-class garden for hectic city dwellers to relax and smell the flowers. In the winter time, the greenery blooms with light and becomes a perfect photo opportunity for nighttime photographers to take pictures with family, friends and lovers. You can enjoy this beautiful Korean winter festival until March 25th.

How to get to Gapyeong Garden of Morning Calm from Seoul
Bus: Take a bus from Dong Seoul Bus Terminal (Gangbyeon Station Line 2) to Cheongpyeong Bus Terminal. Then take a bus (31-1, 31-7, 31-17) or taxi to the Garden of Morning Calm.
