In the old, industrial neighborhood of Euljiro, there are factories and warehouses stuffed in grungy back alleys. But there have been treasures to be found in recent years. Hotel Soosunhwa is one of them. Walk up to the fourth floor of an nondescript building that has offices and factories all around, and you’ll be transported to a trendy, East Berlin-esque space. Not actually a hotel, this is a multi-purpose venue is called Hotel Soosunhwa because its founders wanted it to be a place where people tired from city life could find rest and refuge. Here you can do just that with some coffee in the day time, or beer, wine or whiskey in the evening with some simple food items on the side. The most interesting part of this venue is that it’s a coworking space for three fashion brands, Pi Seoul, Beatnika and Kyyn the Garten. The venue showcases their work, and it also hosts DJs for occasional parties as well.
