Jeju Canola Flower Festival

April 7th – 15th

The location of probably one of the most iconic photos of the Korean peninsula, the Jeju Canola Flower Festival on the beautiful island of Jeju has vibrant yellow flowers with fields as far as the eye can see dotted with ancient volcanic mounds. It’s the picture perfect place to frolic in a field of flowers if you’ve ever dreamt of doing so.

Taean World Tulip Flower Festival

April 19th – May 13th

Surprisingly, a rural area on the western edge of the Korean peninsula is the location for one of the most famous tulip festivals in the world. It’s a ways out, but if you want to take a trip to the Korean countryside to see 1.5 million tulips arranged as unique pieces of art, this is the spring flower festival in Korea to check out.

March 17th – March 18th

One of the more under-appreciated flowers is the apricot tree. Coming a few weeks before the start of the Cherry Blossom season in Korea, the apricot trees has its own unique and beautiful bloom that cover the color spectrum from white to pink.

The mother of all spring flower festivals in Korea, the Goyang International Flower Exhibition is a world-class flower exhibition that nearly all the flowers that can be found in the must-see list of a botanist. With over 6.2 million types flowers in bloom, this is the ultimate buffet for horticulture lovers that want to smell the flowers.

Gwangyang Plum Flower Bloom Festival

March 17th – March 25th, 2018

One flower that should get the same attention as the cherry blossom festival is the plum flower festival. The spring flower festival in Goyang literally has trees that were around the same time as your great-grand-parents. These nearly-hundred year old trees are situated next to traditional Korean architecture that make for dramatic landscapes.
