To be in an Olympic-hosting country is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and if you’re in Korea during February, you’re in luck! There are still tickets available for many of the games, and Pyeongchang is only an hour away by KTX in Seoul. Root for your country, but while you’re at it root for Korea too ?.

For those that love snow and ice, this winter festival in Korea is focused on large ice and snow sculptures. It’s an outdoor festival for those that can brave the cold and want to look at awesome ice and snow creations. There’s tons of activities for the children too!

This winter festival near the eastern coast of Korea in Gangwon Province has sculptures, ice sculptures, a build-your-own-sled station in addition to the snow and ice sculptures. There’s also an igloo cafe to enjoy hot coco like the eskimo used to(?).

Nami Island is known as the island of love. Home to dramas, first dates and marriage proposals, it only gets cuter and more romantic with kissing snowmen surrounding the island. ⛄️

You thought ice fishing was only for the Inuit? This Korea winter festival lets you sink a hole and pull up a trout. It’ll also be your meal, the freshest trout sashimi (or grill) you can get. It’s a fun day that ends with food you caught. ?

Instead of the great outdoors, some would rather want some culture. If you’re the latter, check out Alexander Girard’s exhibition at the Seoul Arts Center. He’s one of the pioneers of modern designer — a must see if you’re into design!
